Case Study: Rapid Pure Water System Deployment for a Beverage Plant

In the fast-paced beverage industry, a bottling plant facing a surge in product demand and the need to expand its purified water production capacity partnered with Chuangdong Water Treatment to achieve rapid expansion of its pure water system.

Challenge: Scaling Up Pure Water Production to Increase Capacity

The beverage plant planned to expand its production scale, requiring an increase in its pure water system capacity from 100 gallons per minute to 400 gallons per minute. However, the existing service deionization system could no longer meet the new production demands. Production downtime would not merely be an inconvenience — it would be a direct threat to revenue, market share, and brand reputation.

The facility is located in a dense industrial area with virtually no space for expansion. Traditional water treatment systems typically require significant ground space to accommodate multiple treatment stages, storage tanks, and piping networks — an option that was clearly not feasible. When demand increases but the capacity allocated to the water treatment plant has already reached its maximum, design strategies must go further.

Solution: Water Treatment Solution Tailored for the Beverage Plant

Given the urgency of the problem and the spatial constraints, the beverage manufacturer turned to Chuangdong for a solution. We provided a modular, rapidly deployable pure water treatment system.

Unlike conventional water treatment systems, which require extensive on-site construction, custom engineering, and lengthy installation cycles, modular pure water systems are factory-prefabricated, pre-tested, and delivered in skid-mounted or containerized form, ready for rapid integration. For this beverage plant, this approach delivered several key advantages.

The selected system employs a multi-barrier treatment process specifically tailored to beverage production needs. Raw water first passes through multimedia filtration to remove suspended solids, followed by activated carbon filtration to eliminate chlorine, organic compounds, and substances that cause taste and odor issues. At the core of the system are high-efficiency reverse osmosis membrane modules, which effectively remove over 99% of dissolved salts, bacteria, and other contaminants — producing water of exceptional purity suitable for the most demanding beverage applications. A final ultraviolet disinfection stage provides an additional microbial barrier, ensuring the water meets and exceeds industry standards.

The entire system was pre-assembled on a compact skid, with all piping, valves, instrumentation, and controls integrated at the factory. This pre-engineered approach dramatically reduced on-site work, eliminating weeks of conventional construction and installation activities.
